Everything you need to know
We typically arrive between 8:00 PM and 8:30 PM, unless we have agreed a different arrival time. We will be ready to load in as soon as the venue gives us the go ahead. This gives us plenty of time to bring in our equipment, set up our full PA and lighting rig, and get changed before taking the stage.
Full setup takes approximately 45 minutes once we are fully loaded in. We will put on some background music to help keep the atmosphere going while we set up. We always allow extra buffer time so there's no stress if access is tricky. Delays can occur prior to our arrival, but we will aim to set up as quickly as we can. Once everything is ready, we'll have a quick change of shirt and let you know that we're ready to get the party started.
The first dance usually kicks off the night of dancing at around 9:30 PM, but it can be earlier or later depending on how the day is running. Whenever you're ready, just give us the thumbs up and we'll take it from there. We will ask you both to wait for a moment while we gather your guests around the dance floor, introduce ourselves, get the crowd excited and set the atmosphere before inviting you both onto the floor for your forever after moment. Your bridal party can join in at a particular point in the song too. Just let us know and we'll call them in.
Absolutely! While we can't guarantee every request, as some songs just don't work with our setup, we love reading the room and taking requests that fit the vibe. That's why your music preferences are so helpful. They give us a great steer.
Yes, but within reason! We have more than 20 songs to choose from on our first dance list. If your chosen song works with our instrumentation (fiddle, guitar, bass, drums, keys and vocals), we're happy to learn it. We need at least six weeks' notice for new songs. If it's something really unusual, we would suggest playing it on Spotify instead.
Our standard package is 2 hours and 15 minutes of live music, typically split into two sets with a break in between for the food or tea break.
We usually take a short break while guests eat. We will help ourselves to the buffet, but if a plate of sandwiches and hot food can be organised for the band, it will speed things up on our end and keep the guys fuelled for the second half. Our DJ plays background music during this time, then we ramp things back up when everyone's ready to dance again.
We need an adequate power supply (minimum 2 x 13A sockets) and reasonable access for loading equipment. We bring everything else, including PA, lights, mics, the lot. If possible, we would also appreciate a small room or area where we can change before taking the stage.
